The Simpsons: Virtual Springfield - is a first-person adventure game set in the golden era of The Simpsons. The game recreates Springfield along with its most recognizable places and inhabitants. The end-to-end goal is to collect character cards throughout the city. Finding them involves unlocking secret areas and obtaining special items - in this regard, Virtual Springfield follows the tradition of point-and-click and requires some sharpness in finding active zones.

However, the player does not remain in a completely helpless position. He is given a map of the city, suggesting the next steps. The main feature of the game is the opportunity to visit painfully familiar locations, plunging into the world of the "yellow family". Characteristic locations include Springfield Elementary School, Moe's Tavern, Krusty's Studio, Kwik-E-Mart, and, of course, the Simpsons' home.
