Subnautica Below Zero -  is a third-person sandbox game that includes RPG elements, action and adventure. The scene is set in the arctic region of planet 4546B, a year after the events of the original Subnautica. This time, the player will try on the role of the girl explorer Robin Goodall. Her goal is to find the wreckage of the ancient ship Aurora and send them to the Vesper space station. To do this, you will need to explore the endless expanses of the wasteland, look for ancient artifacts, and create recreation centers.

It is important to note that the supplies are not endless and most of them are provided by the space station. Therefore, one cannot do without improvisation, being content with a small amount of building materials for creating camps, organizing hunting for local animals and trying to save research equipment.
